Traffic Police Directed to Escalate Enforcement on Capital’s Roads

Islamabad authorities have issued a directive for a stringent enforcement of traffic regulations across the city, targeting lane indiscipline and other infractions in a renewed effort to improve road safety and traffic movement.

The instruction came from DG Safe City and DIG Traffic, Muhammad Haroon Joya, during a meeting with field personnel. The primary objective of this initiative is to curtail traffic-related incidents and ensure uninterrupted vehicular flow on the capital”s main arteries around the clock.

Officers have been tasked with ensuring effective management on major thoroughfares and taking legal action against individuals found violating traffic laws.

In recognition of their service, Mr Joya presented certificates of appreciation to several field officers, commending them for their diligence, hard work, and integrity. He encouraged the entire force to persist in their duties with renewed commitment.

Reaffirming the force”s commitment to public service, the DIG highlighted that the Islamabad Traffic Police remains consistently available on the roads to aid motorists. Citizens experiencing any road-related difficulties are advised to contact the traffic helpline at 1915.
