QUETTA: Two more people lost their lives due to the continuous monsoon rains and floods in Balochistan.

The monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in the province for the past two months, raising the death toll to 166 from goining rains and floods so far, while 75 people were injured.

According to PDMA officials, a total of 15,337 houses have been damaged, 23 thousand 13 cattle have been killed and crops on two lakh acres of land have been completely destroyed.

It was further added that the Administration, Pakistan Army, Navy and FC officials are carrying out relief activities in different areas of Balochistan.

Pakistan Meteorological Department, Regional Center, Quetta on Thursday forecast that during the next 24 hours, mainly partly cloudy to cloudy weather is expected in southern, eastern and northern parts while hot and humid conditions in western parts of the province (gusty winds may occur in western parts / hilly areas).

However, rain thunderstorm may occur at isolated places in Zhob, Barkhan, Loralai, Dera Bughti, Sibi, Bolan, Kohlu, Khuzdar, Harnai, Lasbela districts and its surroundings during the next 24 hours.
