Two passengers arrested at Karachi airport for fake documents

KARACHI, The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration authorities apprehended two passengers at Karachi airport over allegations of possessing fake travel documents.

According to the FIA report on Sunday, the accused individuals had recently returned from Saudi Arabia after completing an Umra pilgrimage but were found attempting to travel to Bosnia with counterfeit documents.

The arrested individuals were identified as Zain ul Abideen and Mohammad Akhtar, who had arrived in Pakistan via an international flight. FIA sources disclosed that the individuals in question were also involved in tampering with their passports, including the use of torn passport pages bearing fake visa stamps.

Further investigations by the FIA revealed that the suspects had obtained their visa for Bosnia through an agent based in Saudi Arabia. The FIA, during a search, discovered two air tickets for Bosnia on the mobile phones of the accused.

As a result, both suspects have been transferred to the FIA's anti-human trafficking unit in Karachi for further inquiries, according to FIA officials.
