Two passengers travelling on train roof killed near Chiniot

Chiniot: Two passengers travelling on the roof of a train were killed and three others injured when the train hit electricity wires near Chiniot on Friday.

According to rescue sources, a train was full to its capacity and many passengers were travelling on its roof after finding no seat. When the train reached Chiniot, it hit the electricity wires sending electric shocks among the roof passengers. As a result, two of the roof passengers were killed and three others injured.

The deceased were identified as 30-year-old Muhammad Naveed and 35-year-old Waqar. The injured included Rajab Shah (18), Amir Hamza (22), and Ali (32). The Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies and injured to a local hospital. Police have also started investigation into the incident. Those who died and got injured in the incident belonged to Mianwali.
