In their messages issued on the occasion of Pakistan Accession Day, Hurriyat organizations have urged the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to protect the Kashmiri people from Indian state oppression and to play an effective role in resolving the Kashmir issue according to the relevant UN resolutions.
Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control affirmed their ongoing efforts to achieve freedom from Indian rule on the occasion of Pakistan Accession Day and to realize the resolution adopted on July 19, 1947, which was for the integration of Jammu and Kashmir into Pakistan.
The historic Pakistan Accession Resolution, unanimously adopted by the true representatives of the Kashmiri people, was passed in an important session of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference. This session was held at the residence of Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan in the Aabi Guzar area of Srinagar.
This day serves as a reminder of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and their longstanding desire for accession to Pakistan, which is deeply rooted in the historical background and political situation of the region.
