The United Officers Forum Action Committee (UOFAC) broadened its membership base and outlined five key demands during a recent meeting. The Mohajir Workers Welfare Association was formally welcomed into UOFAC, an announcement made following a joint session of member associations.
Led by key UOFAC figures, including Central President Nabila Khan and Chairman Muhammad Rizwan Khan, the meeting also saw the participation of Sindh President Syeda Rabab Jafri, General Secretary Adnan Arain, Karachi Chairman Muhammad Azhar, and Karachi General Secretary Arif. Representatives from the central working committee and members of the Mohajir Workers Welfare Association were also present.
A decision regarding the potential inclusion of the Peoples Workers Officers Council is expected in the next meeting. UOFAC is pushing for the payment of dues to retired personnel, citing Supreme Court decisions against withholding pensions. The group is also advocating for the needs of officers nationwide, demanding standardized grading, job regularization, and prompt compensation disbursements.
UOFAC further demands the removal of controversial officials, the return of federal staff who have completed their designated tenures, and action against alleged corruption within institutions. Finally, the committee pledged to challenge any perceived injustices and announced support for Syed Zulfiqar Shah, Naeem Jamal, Noor Muhammad, and doctors at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
