Upgradation of Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildars demanded

QUETTA: Revenue Action Committee (RAC) demanded of the authorities to grant upgradation to Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildars, Qanungo and Patwari, expedite amending the Balochistan Levies Act, delegate powers to Tehsildars to lodge First Information Reports, fill the vacant positions of Patwaris and bring the salaries of Patwaris and Qanungo at par with the salaries of the employees of Balochistan Civil Secretariat, Quetta.

These and similar other demands were made in the meeting of “Revenue Action Committee” held here on Saturday with Muhammad Ali Durrani, Chairman, RAC in the chair here on Saturday. Expressing reservations over the introduction of service structure reforms in the shape of PMS in the province, meeting observed that since the introduction of PMS for overhauling the service structure of provincial cadres employees would deprived 80 percent employees of revenue department of Balochistan from their regular promotion to next grade, hence, it was stated that the introduction of PMS was not acceptable to the employees of Revenue Department.

Meeting called on the authorities to grant upgradation to Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildars, Qanungo and Patwari, expedite amending the Balochistan Levies Act, delegate powers to Tehsildars to lodge First Information Reports (F.I.Rs), fill the vacant positions of Patwaris and bring the salaries of Patwaris and Qanungo at par with the salaries of the employees of Balochistan Civil Secretariat.

Meeting was addressed by Muhammad Ali Durrani, Chairman, Revenue Action Committee, Ramzan Kurd, Qazi Pervaiz, Junaid Barozai, Amanullah, Sardar Abdullah and others.
