Under the Uraan Pakistan National Debates 2025 event, the federal government is set to gather over 500 university students from across the country for a national-level forum, which officials have described as a significant step towards preparing the country’s youth to take the helm of public discourse.
Federal Minister for Planning, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, confirmed today that the “Uraan Pakistan National Debates 2025” will be held as part of the ongoing “Youth’s Flight” campaign. The three-day event will take place from November 25 to 27.
The gathering in Islamabad will feature bright and talented participants from over 100 universities located in 45 different cities. Its primary agenda is to engage students in informed and policy-oriented discussions centered on Pakistan’s key developmental priorities.
In his announcement, the minister described the event as more than just a competition, calling it a significant investment in the country’s future leadership. He emphasized its role in fostering intellectual capacity, national consciousness, critical thinking skills, and self-confidence among young Pakistanis.
Professor Iqbal concluded that the perspectives nurtured during these debates will help determine Pakistan’s future direction, adding that the country’s youth are now fully prepared to guide the national narrative.
