’We Will Never Forget the Sacrifices of Christian Martyrs of the Pakistan Army,’ Minorities People’s Alliance Pakistan

The Minorities People’s Alliance Pakistan paid tribute to the Christian martyrs who sacrificed their lives for religion, justice, peace, and the motherland. The event was held in Karachi to honor the brave individuals from the minority community who laid down their lives in service to the country.

The ceremony was presided over by the founder and chairman of the Minorities People’s Alliance Pakistan, Yaqub Sharif Gul. He passionately reminded everyone that “We will never forget our martyrs and their sacrifices.” He emphasized that these sacrifices are a golden chapter in history, and it is our collective responsibility to connect the new generation with their mission.

Gul paid homage to Bishop John Joseph Shaheed, Shahbaz Bhatti Shaheed, and the Christian martyrs of the Pakistan Army who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism and in service to the country. Additionally, tributes were paid to the three martyrs of Essa Nagri, and floral wreaths were laid on their memorials.

Chief Patron and senior leader Saleem Khurshid Khokhar, speaking online from the UK, appreciated the organizers for holding this blessed ceremony to remember the martyrs. He further added, “We pray for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks.”

Chief Guest Ilyas Sheera stated, “The true heroes of nations are those who elevate the nation’s honor through their sacrifices. Remembering these great personalities and informing the new generation about them is a crucial need of the time.”

Chief Organizer Riyasat Shahid said, “Our Christian martyrs serving in the Pakistan Army are a source of pride for the country and the nation. Their sacrifices are a bright chapter in our history that will always be remembered.”

Pastor Mika Lawrence paid tribute through a special prayer and speech, while Karachi Division President Iqbal Khurshid announced, “This journey will not stop here. We will continue to organize such events to keep our young generation connected to their roots.”

The ceremony included moments of prayer and spiritual messages led by Mother Hajra, Saba Aram Riyasat, Pastor Irfan (Organizer Karachi Division), and Pastor Younis Masih (Organizer Ayub Goth), highlighting the importance of peace, harmony, and the sacrifices of the martyrs.

Essa Nagri President Manwar Liaqat and Youth Wing Sindh President Adnan Romi Gul supervised the event arrangements. Various political, social, and religious figures attended, symbolizing solidarity and respect for the martyrs.

This dignified and spiritual event organized by the Minorities People’s Alliance Pakistan aimed to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and foster a sense of pride and unity within the minority community.
