A young man from Bukhari Mohalla in Thatta attempted suicide by shooting himself with a pistol. He was taken to the Civil Hospital in Makli, where doctors confirmed his death.

According to reports, the young man, Jani Memon, son of Qasim Memon, a resident of Bukhari Mohalla in Thatta, committed suicide. The family placed the body on the National Highway in front of the Civil Hospital Makli and blocked the road in protest.

The family blamed the gambling mafia for the incident. They stated that a gambling den was operating, and despite informing the police multiple times, no action was taken.

The family demanded action against the gambling mafia and justice for the deceased. According to reports, the deceased was forced to commit suicide after losing money in gambling.

The protest was called off after assurances from the police. Citizens have demanded the closure of gambling dens in the city.
