QUETTA: Metropolitan Corporation Tanzeemi Ittehad (MCTI), Quetta, demanded of the authorities to address all its genuine demands forthwith.
These demands were made in the protest demonstration held outside Quetta Press Club Quetta under the aegis of Metropolitan Corporation Tanzeemi Ittehad (MCTI), Quetta on Monday. Addressing the protest demonstration, speakers said that owing to the anti-labour policy of Finance Department, Government of Balochistan, serving employees and pensioners of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation have been deprived of their salaries and pensions.
They said, “Time and again the genuine demands of the employees of QMC have been brought into the notice of higher, but it it is not known as to why the authorities have turned a deaf ear to get the genuine demands of the employees of QMC entertained.” They added that one of the genuine demands of QMC was to frame service structure of the employees of QMC, adding that government has failed to finalise service structure for the employees of different cadres serving in Quetta Metropolitan Corporation.
They demanded of the Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary (CS) Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana and other concerned authorities to address all the genuine demands of Metropolitan Corporation Tanzeemi Ittehad, Quetta forthwith, adding that if the authorities did not accede to the genuine demands of MCTI, Quetta, complete strike would be started.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Hazrat Khan, President, Metropolitan Corporation Tanzeemi Ittehad (MCTI), Nadeem Khokar, Naseebullah Kakar and others. Earlier a protest demonstration was taken out from the premises of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation. Chanting slogans in support of their demands, participants of rally marched through different roads and reached outside Quetta Press Club where a protest demonstration was held.
