5 gamblers from gambling dens in Karachi’s Lyari and 4 armed individuals from Steel Town and Malir arrested Police eliminated armed groups in integrated operations

Karachi Police on Thursday successfully arrested a three-member gang of robbers involved in various criminal activities across the city, an habitual street criminal, and several individuals operating illegal gambling dens. Integrated police operations resulted in the recovery of a significant amount of illegal firearms, cash, and gambling paraphernalia from various districts.

In the Steel Town area of Malir district, officers apprehended a serial offender known for his involvement in street crime incidents. A .30 bore pistol, bullets, and some cash were recovered from the suspect’s possession. A formal case has been registered against the said individual, and detailed investigations are now underway.

Separately, an organized three-member gang of robbers active in the Highway Shield areas was taken into custody. Police recovered illegal pistols and other weapons along with bullets, which were allegedly used during their illicit activities. Cases have been registered against the suspects under the Sindh Arms Act, and further investigation is ongoing.

Furthermore, five individuals described as habitual or professional participants in operating and playing at gambling dens were arrested in the areas of Baghdadi Police Station. Officers recovered gambling money, transaction slips, and playing cards from the suspects at the time of their arrest. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations into these matters are ongoing.
