ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned series of target-killings of police and citizens in Dera Ismail Khan since last fortnight.
In a statement issued here, the PPP Chairman criticized the criminal silence adopted by KPK government over these horrific terrorism acts being inflicted on the people and the law enforcing agencies, including police.
Reports suggest that more than a dozen people have fallen victim to target-killings and ambushes. But there is no word from KP Chief Minister neither any government official on these brutal killings nor any compensation was announced for the victims’ families, he added.
Bilawal expressed grave concern over the fact that KP government had shunned the people of Dera Ismail Khan and left them at the mercy of extremists and terrorists to hunt them like ducks. The PPP chairman demanded protection to the people against terrorism and adequate compensation to the families of all the martyred.
