KARACHI: The residents of Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Saturday staged a protest demonstration against a private hospital situated at Maskan Chowrangi, alleging that doctor’s negligence has claimed the life of a girl.
The protesters blocked Maskan Chowrangi and staged sit-in against alleged negligence by a doctor. The protesters said a two and half year old girl Hurien Zahra was brought to the hospital with chest infection few days ago, where doctors administrated an injection to her after which her condition deteriorated.
The hospital administration asked the family to shift patient to other hospital as her condition was too serious. The family shifted Hurien to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital but she died before her arrival at the hospital.
The family members and locals have demanded of the authorities concerned to take action against the doctor and the hospital administration.
