KARACHI:Medical and Health Service (M and HS) Department of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has established four Rabies Centres in major KMC hospitals for vaccination of dog-bite victims.
The Rabies Centres have been set up in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), Landhi Medical Complex, Sarfaraz Rafiqui Shaheed (SRS) Hospital and Gazdarabad General Hospital.
Senior Director, M and HS, KMC, Salma Kauser, while talking to PPI, informed that Rabies Centres had been established in four major health facilities to vaccinate dog-bite victims.
She further informed that 50 to 60 new and old dog-bite cases were being reported at Centres while number of cases was increasing day by day.
She informed that anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) was available at Rabies Centres and there was no shortage of them.
