KARACHI:Sindh health department has directed Secretary Sindh Public Services Commission (SPSC) to recruit 1,096 more staff nurses to fill the vacant posts.
A letter has been sent to SPSC with approval of Minister Health for filling the vacant posts of staff nurses (BS-16) in health department through advertisement as per rules.
In October 2018, the nurses of Sindh province under the banner of Joint Nurses Action Committee (JNAC) held a protest demonstration at Karachi Press Club for creation of new jobs in nursing profession.
Central Leader Young Nurses Association (YNA), Sindh, Aijaz Ali Kelari, while talking to PPI welcomed Sindh government for initiating recruitment of 1096 staff nurses through Sindh Public Services Commission for filling vacant posts and termed the decision victory of nursing community of Sindh province.
He said new hiring would improve patient care in health facilities all over the province.
