Rawalpindi Chamber to set up women’s center in AJK

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Haroon Akhtar Khan, engaged in a fruitful dialogue with the Women Chamber of Commerce Rawalpindi, addressing key initiatives such as securing dedicated chamber space and establishing an expo hub for women entrepreneurs.

The discussions underscored the critical role of women empowerment and skill development in Pakistan’s economic growth. During the meeting, Khan highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, reflecting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s policies. He emphasized the importance of specialized organizations like SMEDA, TUSDEC, and PITAC in advancing women”s skills.

The Women Chamber revealed plans to set up a women’s center in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, receiving full backing from the Ministry of Industries and Production. Khan directed relevant organizations to collaborate with the chamber and ensure regular updates on skill development initiatives.
