In a significant move signaling a deepening of strategic ties, Trkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, on Tuesday to discuss bolstering cooperation in the crucial energy sector.
The high-level meeting at the military’s General Headquarters (GHQ), according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), centered on expanding the scope of Pak-Trkiye collaboration and enhancing their strategic relationship.
Discussions also focused on exploring new avenues of partnership aimed at advancing shared objectives and contributing to regional stability.
During the engagement, Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the long-standing and historic fraternal bonds between the two nations. He also expressed gratitude for Trkiye’s consistent support for Pakistan at various international fora.
In response, Minister Bayraktar reaffirmed his country’s commitment to deepening cooperation within the energy domain. The visiting dignitary also commended Pakistan’s efforts toward promoting regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
