Gold price skyrockets, surpasses Rs 456,000 per tola

The local gold market witnessed a significant increase in the price of gold, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold reaching a new record high of Rs 456,162 after an increase of Rs 1,300.

This upward trend in prices continued on Saturday across different karats and weights. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 1,115 to Rs 391,085. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold closed at Rs 358,507 after an increase of Rs 1,022.

The price of silver also saw a significant increase. The per tola price of 24 karat silver rose by Rs 139 to Rs 6,987, while the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 119 to Rs 5,990.

This increase in local prices is a reflection of the rise in the international market. In the global market, the price of gold per ounce increased by $13 to $4,338. The global price of silver also closed at $67.15 per ounce after an increase of $1.39.
