Major increase in gold price, gold per tola exceeds Rs 462,000

The local bullion market witnessed a sharp rise in the value of precious metals on Monday, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold reaching an extraordinary new high of Rs 462,362, with a significant increase of Rs 6,200.

Similarly, the 10-gram price of 24 karat gold also saw a substantial increase of Rs 5,315, closing at Rs 396,400. The 10-gram price of 22 karat gold also recorded a significant increase of Rs 4,872, ending the day at Rs 363,379.

This upward trend in prices in the local market was a reflection of global developments, where the international price of gold reached a new level of $4,400 after an increase of $62.

The silver market was also not immune to this bullish trend, and the per tola price of 24 karat silver was recorded at Rs 7,205, with an increase of Rs 218.

Furthermore, the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs 187, closing at Rs 6,177 at the end of the day. This local change was in line with international markets, where the price of silver rose by $2.18 to $69.30.
