Sukkur Civil Hospital’s dysfunctional oxygen plant reactivated after years

The important oxygen generation plant at Sukkur Civil Hospital, which had been inactive for many years, has been made functional after necessary repairs, filling a significant gap in patient care and hospital resources.

This restoration was made possible through the joint efforts of Commissioner Sukkur Division Abid Saleem Qureshi, Medical Superintendent Dr. Ahmed Mujtaba Memon, and Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Principal Professor Dr. Saleh Muhammad Channa.

Medical Superintendent, Dr. Memon, stated that the restored plant will not only significantly aid in the treatment of patients but is also expected to substantially reduce the hospital’s expenditure on oxygen procurement.

He thanked Commissioner Qureshi for leading the project and securing the support of philanthropists for this work.

In his message, Commissioner Qureshi said that sincere efforts made for a good cause often receive support from both societal and governmental sources.

Professor Dr. Saleh Muhammad Channa expressed his belief that all challenges will be overcome.

Looking ahead, Dr. Memon also announced that the hospital administration will soon begin work on repairing and activating the mortuary’s cold chain system.
