The Commissioner of the Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (SESSI) has issued a stern warning following an unannounced visit to health facilities in the city, stating that any negligence in providing quality and timely medical care to patients will not be tolerated.
According to a press release issued today by the Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution, SESSI Commissioner, Hadi Bux Kalhoro, made a surprise visit to the Sukkur Circle, SESSI Sukkur Poly Clinic Hospital, and the SESSI Sukkur Directorate to assess their operational situation.
The Commissioner was accompanied by senior officials, including Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tauqeer Ahmed Soomro, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Hassan Bux Rind, and Director Sukkur Directorate Abid Panhwar, along with other staff members.
The Commissioner conducted a comprehensive review of the central medical store, the stock of available medicines, medical services for patients, the condition of the outpatient department and wards, cleanliness standards, and office administration.
During the review, concerned officials briefed Mr. Kalhoro on existing problems and other institutional matters. In response, the Commissioner assured that all identified issues would be resolved on a priority basis and as soon as possible.
He issued clear directives to the administration, urging all officers and staff to perform their professional duties with greater diligence, honesty, and sincerity, and stressed that shortcomings in patient care would have serious consequences.
At the conclusion of the visit, the SESSI Commissioner directed the authorities to further improve the overall arrangements and performance, and to accelerate the effective and organized implementation of recent institutional reforms.
