Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) released the latest closing exchange rates for major foreign currencies against the Pakistani Rupee on January 2, 2026. The rates, which are intended for informational purposes, show slight variations in both buying and selling prices across several key currencies.
According to ECAP, the US Dollar was recorded at a buying rate of 280.54 PKR and a selling rate of 281.15 PKR. The Euro, another significant currency, was listed with a buying rate of 328.69 PKR and a selling rate of 331.62 PKR.
In the case of the British Pound, the buying rate was noted at 377.21 PKR, while the selling rate stood at 380.66 PKR. The Japanese Yen, which is frequently used in trade, was reported at 1.77 PKR for buying and 1.84 PKR for selling.
The exchange rate for the United Arab Emirates Dirham was recorded at 76.51 PKR for buying and 77.27 PKR for selling. Meanwhile, the Saudi Riyal was listed at a buying rate of 74.80 PKR and a selling rate of 75.42 PKR.
