National Security and Economic Growth: A Unified Front in Pakistan

Karachi: Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), has underscored the integral role of national security in fostering economic stability. He attributed the recent improvements in Pakistan's macroeconomic indicators to a strengthened internal and external security environment, achieved under the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Mr. Sheikh praised the establishment of a unified command structure within the armed forces, highlighting it as a crucial development in bolstering national defense. He emphasized that this strategic cohesion has rendered the country's defense impenetrable.

Expressing solidarity, Mr. Sheikh assured that the business community stands firmly with the armed forces. He affirmed that the traders and industrialists of Pakistan are prepared to make any necessary sacrifices to protect the country's sovereignty.

In a tribute to the martyrs, Mr. Sheikh acknowledged the peace and stability enjoyed today as a result of the sacrifices made by the armed forces. He paid homage to the resilience of the martyrs' families and the courage shown in operations like Bunyan-un-Marsoos, which successfully countered external threats.

Mr. Sheikh also emphasized the vital role of the armed forces in economic stabilization, particularly through initiatives such as the Special Investment Facilitation Council. He asserted that national security is closely tied to economic prosperity and commended military efforts to create a conducive environment for investment.

Concluding his statement, Mr. Sheikh issued a warning to Pakistan's adversaries, stating that any attempt to harm the nation would be met with a strong and decisive response from the united front of the business community and the armed forces.
