An agreement was finalised between the Ministry of National Health Services and Swiss pharmaceutical firm Roche to supply essential medicines at no cost to hundreds of cancer sufferers.
According to a report today, the initiative will provide complimentary treatments to 745 individuals from Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan, according to Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal.
Speaking on the occasion of the signing, the minister detailed the financial arrangement of the public-private accord.
Under the terms of the collaboration, the government will cover thirty percent of the cost for the pharmaceuticals, while Roche is set to contribute the remaining seventy percent.
