Free Oxygen Plant Activated at Civil Hospital Sukkur for Needy Patients Through Private Donation

Needy patients at Civil Hospital Sukkur now have access to a free supply of oxygen, as the hospital’s generation plant has been activated through a private donation facilitated by the Commissioner’s office.

This development was revealed during an inspection visit on Monday by Commissioner Sukkur Division Abid Salim Qureshi, where he met with the hospital administration and reviewed the overall performance of the hospital and its patient care services.

The Commissioner was briefed by Medical Superintendent Dr. Ahmed Mujtaba Memon, who stated that the hospital’s affairs are gradually improving. He confirmed the activation of the oxygen plant and credited this significant upgrade to a philanthropist’s donation.

The hospital administration also reported that the recent removal of encroachments from the access route to the medical center has resulted in easier access for patients and emergency ambulances.

During his visit, Commissioner Qureshi discussed various issues with the administration, including the attendance of medical professionals, the availability of medicines for patients, and general sanitation standards.

Commissioner Qureshi emphasized that a sense of collective ownership is essential to provide the best possible facilities to the public. He expressed confidence in the hospital’s “good team,” from which, he said, further improvements can be expected.

Following the meeting, the Commissioner personally visited the newly activated oxygen generation plant and inquired about its operational procedures.

Also present during the visit were Assistant Medical Superintendent Dr. Zahid Malik, Principal Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Sukkur Dr. Saleh Muhammad Channa, and Deputy Director of Planning and Development Civil Hospital Raza Hussain.
