’Thinking of others in times of intense grief is the highest form of humanity’: Professor Adib Rizvi

SIUT head Professor Adib Rizvi has paid tribute to a grieving family whose selfless act led to the successful restoration of vision for a 45-year-old man and a 21-year-old student after an eye transplant.

SIUT head Professor Adib Rizvi paid tribute to the donor’s family for this compassionate decision made at a time of intense personal grief.

Praising the family’s act, Professor Rizvi said, “Thinking of others in a state of intense grief is the highest form of humanity.”

He also appealed to the public for more people to become part of the posthumous organ donation movement.

Professor Rizvi emphasized that such actions can save the lives of patients suffering from pain and distress and their quality of life can be improved.
