The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is operating under a temporary leadership change after Senior Vice President Muhammad Raza assumed the role of Acting President, pledging to ensure all advocacy efforts on vital economic issues continue without interruption.
According to a statement today, the appointment, effective immediately, follows the departure of KCCI President Rehan Hanif, who has travelled abroad on a personal visit. Mr Raza will perform the duties and exercise the powers of the president during Mr Hanif”s absence.
Upon taking charge, the Acting President reaffirmed his dedication to pursuing the Chamber”s agenda of protecting and promoting the interests of the city’s business and industrial community.
He emphasised that the KCCI would sustain its active engagement with government authorities and stakeholders on key economic, fiscal, trade, and industrial matters to guarantee continuity and effectiveness in its advocacy.
Mr Raza also gave assurances to KCCI members that all routine operations and strategic affairs of the Chamber would be managed smoothly during this interim period, confirming that ongoing initiatives would proceed without disruption.
