Robbery attempt foiled on Karachi’s M.A. Jinnah Road, one robber and a passerby injured

A robbery attempt near Eidgah M.A. Jinnah Road turned violent on Thursday morning when an unidentified person opened fire on two assailants, resulting in one suspect being injured and a passerby wounded by the suspects’ own firing.

According to a report issued by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Eidgah Police, two individuals on a motorcycle were attempting a robbery when they faced resistance. During the confrontation, an unidentified person fired at the suspects.

The injured alleged robber has been identified as 30-year-old Ali, son of Ashraf. His accomplice managed to escape the scene, and law enforcement agencies have initiated a search for his arrest.

During the incident, a 45-year-old passerby, Muhammad Danish, son of Muhammad Ali, was also injured by the suspects’ firing. Both injured individuals were transferred to CHK for medical treatment.

Police have recovered two pistols and a motorcycle from the scene. A formal investigation into the matter has been launched.
