Authorities have seized a large cache of non-customs paid goods worth millions of rupees following an intelligence-based joint raid in Bismillah Market, Sohrab Goth area.
In a joint operation by Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and Customs Enforcement on Saturday, illegal goods concealed in local warehouses were recovered. The seized items include a large number of tires, summer pumps, and 197 inverters.
According to a statement, the undeclared inverters were part of a supply chain for distribution to various parts of the city.
All confiscated goods have been formally handed over to customs officials to initiate legal proceedings. A spokesperson for Sindh Rangers expressed determination that the campaign against smuggling will continue until the menace is completely eliminated.
The law enforcement agency has also appealed for public cooperation, urging citizens to report any information related to smuggling or other criminal elements.
