Gold prices saw a significant decline in the local market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola falling by Rs 800 to Rs 505,562.
This downward trend was also observed in other measurements. The price of 24-karat 10-gram gold decreased by Rs 686 to close at Rs 433,437. Similarly, the price of 22-karat 10-gram gold saw a decrease of Rs 629, bringing its new price to Rs 397,331.
The price of the precious metal also softened globally, with the international market price of gold falling by $8 to $4,832.
The silver market was not immune to this bearish trend, and its value also decreased. In the local market, the price of 24-karat silver per tola decreased by Rs 30 to Rs 9,903, while the price of 24-karat 10-gram silver fell by Rs 25 to Rs 8,490.
Correspondingly, the international silver price also saw a slight drop, closing at $94.28 after a decrease of $0.30.
