Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is set to hold significant discussions with the management of Etisalat during an official visit to Dubai, a development keenly watched due to long-standing financial matters between the UAE-based telecommunications giant and Pakistan.
The Deputy Prime Minister landed in the United Arab Emirates for a formal state visit after concluding his engagements in Davos, Switzerland, according to a report on Friday.
According to a brief statement from state media, Mr Dar’s itinerary includes a series of high-level official meetings during his stay.
The scheduled engagement with Etisalat’s leadership is the most prominent item on his agenda announced thus far.
