At a ceremony held today in Nasirabad on the occasion of World Sanitary Workers Day, tribute was paid to the sanitation staff by garlanding them with flowers and showering them with flower petals.
The event was led by Maqbool Ahmed Shaikh, President of the Shah Latif Local Government Employees Union, and Yusuf Aziz Chutto, Chairman of the Nasirabad Town Committee. During the proceedings, the Town Chairman and other participating dignitaries saluted the municipal employees.
Also present on the occasion were Councilor Haji Muhammad Rafique Shaikh, Councilor Hafiz Abdul Rauf Shaikh, and Pakistan Peoples Party leader Muhammad Umar Chutto, who appreciated the services of the sanitation staff.
Addressing the gathering, officials said that these workers are vital members of the community who work around the clock to maintain the city’s cleanliness and promote a healthy environment.
They emphasized that the services provided by the staff are invaluable and it is the collective duty of all citizens to treat them with the utmost respect.
