Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, accused India of committing war crimes in the region of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) during a rally in Islamabad.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the rally was organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir Chapter outside the Indian High Commission. Anwar-ul-Haq highlighted that the rally coincided with India’s Republic Day, which Kashmiris were observing as a Black Day to protest against the occupation.
He criticized the treatment of minorities in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration, alleging that they lack religious freedom and protection for their places of worship. Anwar-ul-Haq also accused the Modi government of involvement in the killings of Sikh leaders in Canada and engaging in anti-Pakistan propaganda.
Reaffirming Kashmiris’ commitment to their right to self-determination, as outlined in United Nations resolutions, Anwar-ul-Haq called upon the international media to expose the alleged atrocities in IIOJK. He expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its ongoing moral, diplomatic, and political support, emphasizing the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir.
The demonstration saw participation from Kashmiris across Azad Kashmir, Occupied Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, who formed a human chain and chanted slogans asserting their bond with Pakistan.
