Benazir’s sacrifices, courage ended dictatorships: ministers

PPP’s Provincial ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Jam Ikramullah Dharejo today paid a glowing tribute to former prime minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on her martyrdom anniversary, hailing her as a symbol of courage, democracy, and resilience whose contributions to Pakistan remain unparalleled.

In a statement, Shah described the former prime minister as an unmatched leader whose sacrifices laid the foundation for Pakistan’s democracy. He praised Benazir Bhutto, calling her a great personality whose commitment to the country was unwavering.

‘Benazir Bhutto played a pivotal role in bringing two dictatorships to an end and stood as the savior of the people during challenging times.

Shah also emphasized Benazir Bhutto’s dedication to her mission, likening her resolve to that of her father and brothers. “Like her family, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto never retreated from her mission, no matter the personal cost,” he stated.

The minister acknowledged the role of former President Asif Ali Zardari in safeguarding Benazir Bhutto’s vision, citing his slogan ‘Pakistan Khappe’ as crucial in preserving the integrity of Pakistan.

In a statement, minister Dharejo highlighted Bhutto’s distinction as the first woman Prime Minister of the Muslim world, calling her a leader whose political acumen earned international admiration. ‘Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed made unprecedented sacrifices for the restoration and promotion of democracy in Pakistan. Her contributions at the international level are equally remarkable,’ he said.

The minister also praised Benazir’s commitment to the welfare of PPP workers and the nation, describing her as a symbol of resilience and leadership.

‘Benazir’s services to the country and its people are unparalleled, and her mission for democracy lives on through Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari,’ Dharejo added.
