Participants expressed strong support for the BMPP Progressive leadership and their commitment to serving the business community indiscriminately, assuring full cooperation with the group. In the meeting, Chairman BMPP Progressive and FPCCI Senior Vice President Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, Vice President Aman Paracha, and Vice President Asif Sakhi highlighted their performance in the Federation, which was lauded and appreciated by the participants. Secretary General Khurram Ajaz and Supreme Council Member Shabbir Mansha were also present on the occasion. Saqib Fayyaz Magoon also thanked FPCCI President Atif Ikram for his cooperation, due to which, he said, they have been largely successful in resolving the long-standing issues of the business community. The meeting reaffirmed confidence in the BMPP leadership and reiterated their commitment to serving the business community. Chairman Saqib Fayyaz Magoon highlighted their achievements within the FPCCI and thanked President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh for his support. Magoon emphasized the group’s focus on selfless service and their opposition to policies detrimental to trade, such as Section 37 in the federal budget. He also demanded government action to reduce electricity tariffs and interest rates.
The committee appointed Shajat Ali and Shahid Ali as Vice Chairmen for Karachi and discussed future plans, including expanding membership and intensifying efforts at the national level. The proceedings concluded with a dinner hosted by prominent BMPP members, including Adil Siddiqui, Sahibzadi Mehreen Khan, and Ghulam Mustafa Solangi, attended by representatives of 65 trade organizations.
