Chief Secretary Sindh orders to include Malir and South Districts DC’s in Task Force on Water Commission

Karachi, June 29, 2018 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Major ® Azam Suleman Khan on Friday directed to reconstitute task force on water commission and added to include DC’s Malir and South in the task force for effective coordination to implement water commission recommendations.

Chief Secretary Sindh issued these directives while pressing over meeting on water commission at his office. Secretary Public Health and Coordinator Water Commission Syed Asif Hyder Shah, ACS Environment Mukhtiar Ahmed Soomro, Secretary Fisheries Dr. Fazal ullah Pechuho, Secretary Local Government Khalid Hyder Shah, Managing Director Solid Waste Management Saeed Ahmed Manghnejo, MD SITE Khair Muhammad Kalwar and representatives of Karachi and Korangi Fish Harbour Authorities attended the meeting.

Chief Secretary Sindh designated Secretary Fisheries Dr. Fazalullah Pechuho as focal person of the task force and asked him to play leading role in preparing short and long term strategy. He added that task force should visit fish harbours before the dusk today on 29th June and take necessary short term measures for improving hygienic conditions at the fish harbours and removal of garbage from Liyari and Malir rivers adding that progress report in this regard should be submitted to his office today.

He also observed that coordination among the lined department should be improved and shifting of responsibilities on each other must be avoided. He said that everyone have to be clear regarding their responsibilities.

Dual Citizenship Declaration: Chief Secretary Sindh Major ® Azam Suleman Khan ordered on Friday all administrative secretaries, head of attached departments and autonomous authorities, accountant general Sindh, inspector general Sindh police, president Sindh bank to comply with the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan and ensure submission of dual citizenship of all grade 17 to 22 or equivalent officers with secretary services (S and GAD) by 30th June 2018. Addressing the meeting at Sindh secretaries which was attended by all above officers, he also advised them to furnish affidavit and testimonial within 24 hours to services secretary.
