Meeting of Technical Advisory Committee of Sindh Health Care Commission held

Karachi, June 29, 2018 (PPI-OT): The meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) subcommittee on Healthcare Standards, Accreditation and Quality Assurance was held on today to examine the draft Sindh Service Delivery Standards (SSDS) for General Practioners / Family physicians / Specialist / Hakeem and Homeopath clinics. The Sub Committee reviewed all standards and indicators included in the drafts SHCC Sindh Service Delivery Standards (SSDS).

In the meeting the subcommittee introduced to the participants the policy and strategic framework of the commission; healthcare standards, accreditation and quality assurance; governance process of the commission; advocacy, promotion and contribution towards development and sustainability of the work of the commission and stakeholders consultation for the promotion access equity, quality and standards of the healthcare services.

The members of the Technical Advisory Committee were present including Dr. Tariq Rafi, Pakistan Medical and Dental College, Professor Syed Khalid Ahmed, Councillor and Treasurer, College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, Mr. Habibullah Soomro, Director General Nursing Council, Mr. Tanwir Ahmed Siddiqui, Secretary Pharmacy Council, Prof. Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed, Member Examining Body, National Council of Homeopathy (NCH) and Hakeem M. Ahmed, National Council Tibb and Syed Sajjad Haider Member Finance, AGP. The second part of the meeting was chaired by Professor Tipu Sultan Chairman, SHCC who appreciated the deliberations of the committee and highlighting the excellent support by the TAC members.
