CM’s aide inaugurates two effluent treatment plants

KARACHI:Spokesperson of Sindh Government and Advisor for Law, Environment and Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Tuesday visited Nooriabad Industrial Zone.

He also inaugurated effluent treatment plants at two industrial units in Nooriabad. Nooriabad is the largest treatment plant in the industrial zone which will treat 1.5 million gallons of wastewater per day and make it usable. Imran Abbasi, Nooriabad Site Association officials were accompanied by him.

Adviser Environment also planted a tree in Nooriabad Chamber. Addressing the industrialists at a function held at Nooriabad Chamber, he said that on the day when we all pledged to bring change, it can be made a reality.

“I pay tribute to the industrialists of Nooriabad who have installed effluent treatment plants in 90% of their factories,” he said. He also said that I was very happy to see greenery and trees here. Planting is a charity. It is also important to take care of them by planting trees. Barrister Murtaza Wahab assured the industrialists of Nooriabad that they would be given legal rights to own their industrial huts.

He further said that PPP members keep raising their voices in the National Assembly on gas load shedding but the federal government did not accept anything. Not ready for whether they are industrialists or domestic consumers in Sindh, they are all worried about the worst load shedding of gas and electricity and the incompetent rulers are just playing the flute. He also assured to complete the wind power project and construction of Nooriabad road soon.
