Gold prices in the country soared to unprecedented levels today. The latest figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Associations indicate a significant upswing in gold rates, with one tola of 24-karat gold now priced at Rs 410,278, marking an increase of Rs 3,500.
The domestic market is not the only arena experiencing this surge. Internationally, gold has also seen a marked rise, with prices reaching $3,890, up by $35. This upward trend highlights the volatile nature of the current global economic landscape, leaving traders and buyers alike to reassess their strategies.
The price of gold per 10 grams for 24-karat has also experienced a substantial hike, now standing at Rs. 351,747, an increase of Rs. 3,001. Similarly, 22-karat gold per 10 grams is now priced at Rs. 322,446, reflecting a rise of Rs. 2,751. These rises are indicative of broader market trends and economic factors at play.
Silver, too, has not been immune to these fluctuations. The rate for one tola of 24-karat silver has increased by Rs. 50, reaching Rs. 4,826. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 24-karat silver is now priced at Rs. 4,137, up by Rs. 43. On the international stage, silver prices have edged up to $47.27, a minor increase of $0.50.
