Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s senior figure, Mussarat Jamshed Cheema, on Sunday attributed the majority of Pakistan’s challenges to the enduring partnership between the Pakistan People’s Party and the Muslim League (N). She emphasized that this alliance is responsible for 90 percent of the country’s issues.
Cheema argued that those in power are at the heart of the nation’s problems. She highlighted the irony in the promises made by the current government, suggesting that Imran Khan is the only leader capable of addressing these serious challenges.
In her statement, Cheema noted that when leaders express concern over Pakistan’s difficulties, the public remains skeptical, often resorting to criticism of long-standing rulers. She posed a direct question to the current leadership about who bears responsibility for the country’s deteriorating conditions. Instead of providing answers, she claimed, the government frequently turns to the PECA Act to deflect accountability.
The PTI leader stressed that the problems facing the nation are escalating, not diminishing. She called for bold, visionary decisions to tackle these issues, indicating that the current rulers alone cannot shoulder this responsibility.
