Demand to raise salaries in coming budget

Quetta:All Pakistan Labour Federation has demanded increase in the salaries of government employees and labourers in the coming budget.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Friday, Sultan Muhammad Khan of All Pakistan Labour Federation said that labourers had always served for the development of country; therefore, it was the responsibility of government to facilitate then.

He said that owing to the threat of covid-19 pandemic, it had been decided not to take out rallies and demonstration on the eve of World Labour Day. He said covid-19 pandemic had left more than five crore workers all around the world unemployed.

He said in Pakistan mine workers were trapped in the mountain area owing to closure of transport system. He said lockdown against novel corona virus had affected labourers and daily wage-workers in the country and it was essential to announce special package for them. Sultan Muhammad Khan demanded increase in the salaries of government employees and labourers.
