A fugitive wanted in a murder case was arrested from Oman and shifted to Pakistan on Saturday after a major international operation led by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The accused, identified as Ali Hayat, was taken into custody from the Gulf state after a major operation by the FIA’s National Central Bureau (NCB), which acts as a contact for Interpol.
After the arrest, the authorities shifted the said person to Islamabad Airport to face legal proceedings in the country.
A formal case was registered against the accused on charges of murder at Bhagtanwala Police Station, Sargodha in 2024.
