London, April 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): Mr. Ghazanfar Bilour, President, FPCCI met Mr. Richard Burge, Chief Executive Officer, Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council at London. He discussed matters of mutual interests and other issues for promotion of trade and economic relations amongst the Commonwealth Countries. Mr. Bilour who is on a visit to London to attend the Commonwealth Investment Forum emphasized on the need of further intensifying networking amongst the business community of Commonwealth countries. He also informed about the lucrative incentive for investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Mr. Richard Burge, Chief Executive Officer, Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council informed the Chief of FPCCI that Commonwealth is planning a visit of Commonwealth delegation to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which has shown interest in making investment of US $ in trillion in the Commonwealth countries. The CEO, Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council also invited the FPCCI President to join the Commonwealth delegation to Saudi Arabia and constitute a Pakistani delegation consisting of 5 – 10 members who may be interested in making joint ventures with Saudi companies in Pakistan in potential sectors.
It was also agreed upon that FPCCI will organize a single country exhibition in UK with the support of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council. On the invitation of Mr. Bilour the CEO, Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council will lead a delegation to Pakistan in the month of August or October, 2018.
Earlier, Mr. Ghazanfar Bilour, President, FPCCI who was accompanied by Zahid Saeed and Atif Ikram, Vice Presidents, FPCCI and Dr. Iqbal Thaheem, Secretary General FPCCI attended the inauguration ceremony of Commonwealth Business Forum where the Prime Minister of UK, Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP was the chief guest.
