Srinagar, June 07, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani has termed the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists as prisoners of the conscience. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar saluted the precious sacrifices rendered by these detainees for the sacred cause of right to self-determination.
Condemning the inhuman and ill-treatment meted out to the detainees languishing in Tihar, Jodhpur, Bangalore, Kot Bhalwal, Kuthwa, Riasi, Udhampor, Mattan, Baramulla, Kupwara and central jails Srinagar, he said that unhygienic food items were provided to the political detainees and the denial of proper medication had a negative effect on their health condition.
Paying his gratitude to the people of Kashmir, Syed Ali Gilani said, “Our history bears testimony to the fact that those lodged in different jails of India and in the territory are pursuing their political belief and demanding right to self-determination.”
Citing an example of political vendetta he said, Mir Hafizullah after revocation of several PSAs during the last two years of detention, is presently detained at police station, Islamabad, in a worst health condition. Mir Hafizullah is suffering from different ailments like diabetes, prostrate and cyst in Kidney. Doctors have advised him for an immediate surgery, but the tyrant rulers and administration are neither releasing him nor providing him the proper medical treatment.
