Federal Minister for Board of Investment (BOI) Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh declared that it is an opportune time to invest in Pakistan, citing a steadily strengthening economic outlook driven by consistent government reforms. The assertion came during a meeting on Tuesday with Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Malik Shakir Bashir Awan to discuss the nation’s overall situation.
Minister Sheikh attributed the positive economic trajectory to the stable policy framework implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He stated that the administration’s vision is centered on achieving long-term economic stability through investment-led growth.
During the discussion, MNA Awan commended the proactive role of the BOI minister in fostering a better business environment. He praised the positive impact of key government initiatives, including the Business Facilitation Council (BFC) and the Asaan Karobar Act, in improving the investment climate nationwide.
The federal minister elaborated on these reforms, emphasizing that the BFC provides a one-window facilitation mechanism for investors. He noted that this streamlined approach is significantly reducing procedural hurdles and easing the process of doing business, which in turn is enhancing investor confidence and boosting commercial activity.
Underscoring a key government priority, Sheikh highlighted the importance of creating business and investment opportunities for the country’s youth. He identified entrepreneurship as a crucial driver for sustainable economic development.
In a gesture of collaboration, MNA Awan extended an invitation to the minister to visit the Khushab and Sargodha Chambers of Commerce. The visit aims to further strengthen engagement and dialogue with the local business community.
The meeting concluded with Minister Sheikh presenting a commemorative shield to MNA Awan, recognizing his support for investment promotion. Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to facilitating investors and advancing an agenda of investment-led economic growth.
