Governor, Administrator Karachi visit Karachi Zoo

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori along with Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab made a detailed visit to Karachi Zoo and saw the newly constructed food street, elephant house and other animal enclosures.

Municipal Commissioner KMC Syed Afzal Zaidi, Senior Director Recreation Raza Abbas Rizvi, Director Zoo Rashid Ali and other officers were also present on this occasion. Speaking to media representatives on this occasion, Governor Sindh said that it is the right of the people of Karachi to elect a mayor. Any Mayor who comes should be public and do the work for the people.

“When I came to know that some improvement works were being done in Karachi Zoo, I expressed my desire to visit Karachi Zoo to Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab. I have been visiting zoo since childhood,” he added. Governor Sindh said that the way the Administrators is working in Karachi, he will have my full support. He said that now the citizens will see work in Karachi as we all want to work together for the development of the city.

Kamran Tessori said that Karachi is called the hub of economy, its income not only runs the province but also the country. In response to a question, Governor Sindh said that according to the agreement MQM-P had with the PPP, the Administrators of Karachi and three district municipal corporations are to be appointed at the will of MQM-P. He said that there are some political issues and every party works for its own political interests.

In response to a question, he said that today’s Pindi March is like the sound coming out of a pressure cooker, which makes a sound even though it is empty inside. Earlier, Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab while talking to the media representatives said that it feels good to do human service work. “When the Governor Sindh came to know about the work that has been done in recent days, he contacted me and Karachi Zoo for a visit,” he said.

The Administrator said that his desire is very positive for the development and construction of Karachi. If everyone works together, then there will definitely be improvement. Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that we are trying to improve Karachi Zoo. He said that people who come to Karachi from abroad also come to Karachi Zoo and increase their beautiful memories.

The Administrator said that we should go to the judgments not the remarks of the courts. The Administration is responsible for implementing the decisions of the courts regarding the city. On this occasion, Sindh Governor also fed food with his own hands to the elephants Madhubala and Noor Jahan in the zoo.
