Governor commends Syrian-Australian hero for his life-saving actions in Sydney

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori lauded a Syrian-Australian citizen, Ahmed Al-Ahmed, for his life-saving actions in Sydney, stating the man ‘highlighted the true face of Muslims to the world.’

In a telephonic conversation with the Syrian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Ramez Alraee, Governor Tessori conveyed his admiration for the courage displayed by the individual, according to a statement issued today.

The Governor remarked that the Syrian national, who had acquired Australian citizenship, brought pride to both countries through his bravery. According to a statement from the Sindh Governor House, Tessori asserted that Ahmed Al-Ahmed’s heroic act has elevated the honor of Muslims everywhere.

In response, Ambassador Alraee expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Sindh for the commendatory phone call. The Syrian envoy also informed Governor Tessori of his intention to visit Karachi in the near future to hold a formal meeting.
