Hyderabad faces prolong power outages amid lockdown restrictions

Hyderabad:Former MNA Syed Wasim Hussain on Friday said that people in his city were already facing trouble in the form of lockdown and scorching heat and now prolonged power outages were making their lives miserable.

Hussain in a statement said that Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) is making lives of the people of the city arduous, who are already struggling with issues such as water shortage along with losses in businesses.

HESO had no policy for the maintenance of electric supply, said Hussain and they urged the Commissioner Hyderabad and Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad to take notice of power outrage and fix the load shedding problem.

He accused that HESCO was also extorting millions of rupees from the public in the name of installing transformers but did nothing. “If the public denies paying them ransom then HESCO cut off their electricity,” he said.

“I appeal to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Federal Minister for Water and Power that the citizens should be freed from the tyranny of HESCO and the duration of load shedding should be reduced immediately to give relief to the citizens.”
