Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, today conducted an unannounced inspection at the Traffic Police headquarters in Faizabad. The visit underscored the pressing need for streamlined service delivery and effective management of ongoing operations.
IGP Rizvi meticulously reviewed the functioning of the licensing branch, engaging directly with citizens to listen to their grievances and gather feedback. This proactive approach was aimed at identifying areas that require immediate attention and improvement.
Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun, provided a comprehensive briefing to IGP Rizvi. He guided the police chief through various service desks, elucidating the procedures, workflow, and other operational details that define the branch”s functioning.
A key directive from IGP Rizvi was the simplification and acceleration of the driving license issuance process. He emphasized the importance of transparency to ensure that the public does not encounter any difficulties.
The visit also included an interaction with students from the ‘Friends of Police’ internship program. IGP Rizvi stressed the significance of collaboration between law enforcement and the public, lauding the contribution of young individuals in community development and urging them to continue their active involvement.
The IGP highlighted the necessity for the staff to engage with the public in a courteous manner, offering proper guidance and ensuring equality in service provision.
